To be considered for funding, the proposed project must meet all of the following minimum requirements: 

Completion of the CEDCO Business Application Form and payment of application fee.

Proposed project shall occur within corporate limits of the City of Racine.

Applicants must show that the proposed project is viable and the business will have the economic ability to repay the loan(s) as demonstrated by a completed Business Plan, including Forecast Financial Statement that are prepared and/or reviewed by a certified public accountant.  CEDCO offers  workshops & technical support to complete the business plan.

The applicant must demonstrate that financing the proposed project will assist in the creation or retention of permanent jobs (includes the business owner’s position).   One job per every $15,000 of Minority Loan Fund financing.

The proposed project shall comply with all applicable county or city building, zoning and development standards and requirements.
