Applications may be submitted by any business or industry wishing to establish a new operation, expand or retain an existing operation in the City of Racine.  Projects funded with MLF financing are limited to the following: 

• Acquisition of land building, equipment, furniture/fixtures and rolling stocks
  
  
• Site preparation and construction or reconstruction of buildings
  
  
• Working capital, defined as payroll and inventory.

• Refinancing or reimbursement for expenditures made prior to loan approval.
  
  
• Specialized equipment that is not essential to the business.  Residential building construction or reconstruction (unless such activity is intended to convert the building to a business or industrial operation).
  
  
• Routine maintenance
  
  
• Financing Accounts Receivables
  
  
• Speculative Real Estate such as purchasing land and /or building on speculation for rental income is not eligible.
